- Emma Samms – Prince was reported to have hooked up with British actress Emma Samms in the 80s.
- Jill Jones – Prince’s relationship with singer Jill Jones went beyond that of mentor and protégée. They remained close over the years and he even dubbed her as ‘The White Fox.’
- Susan Moonsie (1980-1985) – Prince included Susan Moonsie in the music group, Vanity 6 in 1982. He was credited with creating her Lolita-like image. Prince reportedly started his on and off relationship with Susan in 1980 and they continued dating till 1985. They did break up on a number of occasions due to his infatuations and dalliances with other women. Susan served as his muse for the single When Doves Cry.

- Sheila E. (1986-1989) – Mexican-American singer, Sheila E. had first met Prince in 1978 at a concert where she was performing with her father. Prince had that night asked her to join his band. She eventually worked with him during the recording sessions for his album, Purple Rain. Their romance started during Purple Rain tour. And, he proposed to her in 1987 while they were touring Europe. However, the six-month long 1988-89 Lovesexy Tour put a serious strain on their relationship and she decided to go a separate way.
- Sherilyn Fenn (1989) – Prince had a brief and intense affair with actress Sherilyn Fenn in the eighties. Although their relationship was brief, his impact on her life was immense. She would later credit him for inspiring her and changing her life.
- Kim Basinger (1989) – Prince started dating actress Kim Basinger in 1989. She collaborated with him to record The Scandalous Sex Suite. In the song, she assumed her role from the Batman movie, she had starred in. Her contributions to the song were spoken works and orgasmic moans. It was alleged that they had indulged in sexual intercourse while recording the song.

- Mayte Garcia (1996-1999) – Prince first met belly dancer Mayte Garcia in 1990 after her mother sent his team, her video while dancing. She was hired a couple of months later to perform in his Diamonds and Pearls Tour. It is alleged that she was the focus of his 1992 album, which was titled after his love symbol. She would be his inspiration for the single, The Most Beautiful Girl in the World, which was released in 1995. On the eve of Valentine’s Day in 1996, they got married. In October 1996, she gave birth to their son, Boy Gregory. However, he passed away within a year due to a rare disorder that didn’t allow the head to grow properly. The death of their son took a serious toll on their relationship and they separated within two years. Their marriage was annulled exactly on their third wedding anniversary.

- In March 2004, he was honored with induction into Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. About two years later, he was inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame for his achievements and his contribution to British music and culture.
- He was all set to work with Michael Jackson for his studio album, Bad. However, he couldn’t find satisfactory lyrics for the song and certainly didn’t want the song to start with “your butt is mine.”
