In the 2010s, he became further known for his work, starting in the 2011 horror film Fright Night. He next directed the movie Million Dollar Arm. He next worked on the historical-drama feature The Finest Hours. It was, however, his work with the Hollywood biographical film I, Tonya that gained him further prominence in the world of directing. The film went on to gain awards and nominations and was praised by critics.
